hi
i have Toshiba A300
model - PSAJ0C-BD208C

I re-installed my OS
I opened skype called my freind but he could not hear anything
i was able to hear hIM
i was using the Microphone attached to my Laptop
So i need a driver that i have to install to make it work

waht to do

Heyy, no need to double post...

Try the audio and video setup in Skype.
If that doesnt work, goto your sound setup and make sure the microphone is being detected and is enabled, then do the audo and video setup again.

This should sort you out, if not, just post back with what you have tried and the Forum and myself will try to solve your problem!

I hope this thread isn't too old, but I have the exact same problem (had to reinstall OS, after doing so I could not use my built-in microphone when using Skype). I tried recording in a different program (voice recorder), it didn't record anything. I have made sure the mic is enabled, have tried to update drivers (no new updates needed, apparently). The driver info says "High Definition Audio Device, Microsoft, version 6.0.6002.18005." I've checked microphone levels, they're up.
