MicBoost doesn't seem to exist anywhere. I've searched for it in regedit and turned up nothing, and I can't get the custom tab in properties to come up.
The sound quality is also terrible, not sure how to go about improving it. Theres a constant static in the background when I speak, always. I'm plenty comprehensible there's just that annoying sound in my background over ventrilo and I'm aiming to kill that if possible, could just be the mic. (Its a logitech)
My computer is setup with two analog ports, one in the front and one in the back. Sometime back I plugged the mic into the front and have since been unable to get it to work in the rear. I either get no sound, or voice doesn't work. I've tried disconnecting the front completely, and a number of other things to no avail. This isn't so much the real problem though, mostly interested in getting micboost working and perhaps improving quality with any know how you guys provide. Or it could be the problem, that the front port is messed up somehow.
I attached my comp's Dxdiag, dunno if it'll help.
