Merge Disk 0 and Disk 1

I have 2 physical disks, Disk 0 and Disk 1. Is there any way to merge (combine) them into one Drve C:? I have an HP Pavilion Notebook PC. Attached is a screen shot of Disk Management

Hello General, and welcome to Vista Forums.

Sorry, but you will not be able to do so with a OS disk. Doing so would cause Windows to no longer be bootable.

Besides that, there's really no benefit in using two dynamic disks that were spanned together to act as a software RAID. Read and write speeds will be slower than using a normal single MBR disk.

We can probably be more helpful if you would explain why you want to do this.

I agree that in your situation there is no advantage to putting the volumes together. In addition if you used RAID in that configuration if you lost one hard drive you would lose everything on both drives. If you have space issues perhaps you should start your personal docs, music, pics, videos, etc on the non-system drive.
