i was hoping to buy more memory for my computer, right now i got 2 sticks with 1gb each, i wanted to buy 2 sticks with 2gb each, where can i find info about my current memory stick so i know what to buy

You can get this information by downloading and running CPUID. When you run this program, you will need to provide administrative credentials. This program provides a lot of information, but that which you need is found partly on the 'Memory' tab and mainly on the 'SPD' tab.
Here is what I have for my current system on these tabs:

Hi monster528,

You need to buy memory that is suitable for your system. The important information on the 'SPD' tab is 'Max Bandwidth'. You need memory that matches this value, especially if you plan on keeping your existing memory in the system. Memory with different speeds, but obviously of the same type (DDR or DDR2) will work, however the maximum speed for all modules will be that of the slowest. So, for example, if you have DDR-333 (PC1-2700) in your system and you add DDR-266 (PC1-2100), then the memory would only work at the lowest speed, i.e. at the DDR-266 rating.

since i want to increase my mhz, it will increase it right? it wont keep it at 333 will it??

completely unrelated: is my core voltage my overall voltage for my entire system?

Hi monster528,

The memory modules you specified still run at 333MHz. The 667 is actually twice that speed, and is what the first 'D' in 'DDR' stands for: 'Double Data Rate'. To be able to increase your bus speed, you need modules that are rated for the higher frequency (assuming, of course, that your motherboard can run at the new frequency).

You can get this information from the manufacturer's website, in your case Global Acer.com. This will tell you the maximum memory speed and size that is supported, amongst other things.

Monster, you can also go to www.crucial.com and use their system scanner, they will scan your system and automatically list a GOOD, BETTER and BEST choice of upgrades...

not being an overclocker can you advise on these figures for me.

am I correct in thinking that this ram is capable of running faster than it is (rated 400 running at 327MHz?) or am I totally confused?

if it could be upped what would be a suggested starting point?

Nigel, not an overclocker myself (not worth it on my system...) but maybe you can check this site out if you want to improve that frequency, does indeed seem like underclocked...: Cyb3rGlitch Tutorials | How to Overclock CPUs and RAM I've read it and concluded not worth overclocking with these specs, but I will once I've upgraded...
