Memory recognize problem

Hi All,

My notebook installed 4GB memory and install Vista 32 bit OS.
I can see 4 GB in bios and system properties.
But I can see round about 2.5 GB in task manager --> Physical memory and and winver.exe.
How can i do for recognize 4GB memory.

Welcome to Vista Forums! :)

An important thing is that 32 bit operating systems only recognise up to 3 GB of RAM.

You need a 64 bit OS to use all 4 GB.

It actually depends on your hardware. I have a desktop PC that recognizes 3.2GB.
