Media Player 11 Help

Hello, I tried to use Media Player 11 today and I get a message 'Windows Media Player is not installed properly and must be reinstalled. Do you want to install the player from Microsoft website?' I clicked 'yes' and I get 'Microsoft Download Center, Windows Media' and see many options, no Vista install. I tried 'Media Player for XP', clicked 'download' and 24.5MB sent. Finally I get 'There is a more recent verison of Win Player (11.0.6002.18065) already installed on your computer. It is not possible to use an older installation package or to repair your current version of Player'.
Help!!!

I didn't even know they had WMP12 heh.alanrr have you tried the k-lite codec it fixes most WMP errors.
