I apologize - I am in a time crunch for a party this weekend, and need help ASAP
I have Vista Ultimate x64, and connect to media center via a DLink DSM-320. I got it connected just fine, and I can see all my media files on the extender just fine, and it plays with no problem.
My issue is this - I have tons of music files on the PC, and many of them are repeated in several folders (don't ask - I need to do some housekeeping!). With the old XP, I used to be able to select a folder to play music from (it was TVersity or somesuch, came with the 320). When I configured Media Center, I told it to "share music, movies, and pictures", but it didn't give me the option to select which music folders to share.
So, now when I fire up the 320 in the game room, I end up with a sequential selection of all the mp3 files in my Music folder, which means there are sometimes 3 or 4 of the same tune queued up to play.
How can I select just a playlist or folder to queue up and play?
Sorry so verbose - thanks for any help!
