MBAM Questions

I recently purchased the full version of mBAM after several "rogue" invasions. It's doing a good job of capturing these buggers. Lately, however, the MBAM icon hasn't been showing up on the taskbar or taking a long time to show up. Is this a problem or normal behavior? Also a question about settings. In the "Action taken for peer to peer software" the default is "do not show results". What's the recommended setting for this dropdown menu? Thanks.

I had a go at your other question, I may as well try & have a go at this one!
You say icon slow into taskbar? Are you talking an unusually looooong time?
Or just not as fast as you remember it could be?
Maybe if you things open on the computer, or things going on in the background, it will take longer to surface.
Is it just this you have noticed slow or others too? It shouldn't be a memory problem you have 3Gb, right?

On settings:? I personally have found that if items are set on the default, then if you don't require any other special settings, I leave it there.
You could always check with their support.
Don't know if that helps any?

Thanks...I do have 3GB...I'll reboot and see how long it takes to show up and repost....

Rebooted and it took a couple of minutes or less to show up...just being impatient...Thanks

Hello Fred44,


Please do the following:

• Just open Computer
• Navigate to C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
• Right-click on mbamgui.exe and select Properties
• Click on the Compatibility tab
• Under Privilege Level, uncheck Run this program as an administrator if it is checked, if it is not checked, then check it and uncheck it again, and then click on Apply and OK
• Restart your computer to verify that it now showing properly

I wouldn't worry, I have MBAM Pro aswell and mine sometimes does this.

Although the icon isn't in the taskbar, if you look in Task Manager, its still running
