major issue with screen zooming... need a genius

I have a Compaq Presario CQ61-212TU running vista business and my nephew was mashing the keys and zoomed the screen so big that i can only see a few icons and the mouse only moves around the top left quadrant of the screen how as if blocked by an invisible barrier. I tried short cuts like ctrl 0 and - and to reduce the screen resolution but didn't work. My screen is so zoomed in that i couldnt reduce the screen resolution to begin with, have to restart in safemode for things to be visable and make any changes, but when i go back to normal, it is zoomed in still. I even uninstalled my video driver, and when i logged in again it was OK but when i reinstalled it it zoomed again... It must be some sort of shortcut that that has been pressed...

PLEASE HELP!!!
