Click my name and see what came visiting a couple days ago. I was so excited my heart hammered for a hour. I see them all the time but they can outrun me so these are the best pics I have ever gotten.
I see a bad injury to a hind leg on one. Not surprising since we are surrounded by barbed wire fencing.

Thanks, Martee and Love, for your comments. We built a deer feeder outside our chainlink fence and they come to eat, especially when the weather is cold or snowy.
I was very surprised to see them out in the open in mid afternoon on a very warm day.
We have had as many as 7 walk thru our front yard during hunting season. They know they're safe in our little neighborhood. One doe brings her twins thru our yard every year.

You're lucky to have visitors like that, even though I'm in a rural place it's on the coast so I don't have those sort of visitors as it's mainly farmland around me. We do get badgers and foxes wandering through and plenty of different birds but I don't see deer

I will be shocked if I see them out in the daytime again anytime soon. Usually it's at dusk and my little Oly camera just won't be able to find them without good lighting.

I took pics of two huge raccoons eating out of my sunflower feeder at night and even with flash could barely tell there was something there, except for the big glowing eyes. :D Deleted those.

We have heavy woods where the deer hide but I see lots of songbirds, squirrels, vultures and hawks routinely. Lots of pic I can share as I can find time.

The little ladybug, my avatar, was drinking from a drop of water on my kitchen counter when I found her.
