Long Startup and Computer not initialising the modem and hangups

Hi I got a List of Issues that I would like to solve tonight so I can give my disabled wife her laptop back....

Fist off When I Boot up It takes like around 10 min to load up, but before the desktop shows up with all the Icons, another desktop screen appears which is Blank(Blue), and hangs for like 10min before my computer finally loads up....
Secondly I can't get on the net, My computer is trying to initialise the modem(wireless connection...I got my laptop running IE to load and still no internet...been like 10min so far.....
#rd and I do Know I have loads of services and startups running on my computer and I want to know how to delete the obsolete entries and take out the entries, but I want to know how to Prune Back the services and Startup programs that I no longer need..

I do have hangup issues right now because of all the startup and services.....

I am running Acer Aspire 5315 Windows Vista Basic ans I have tried system restore and it failed.....:sa:

Please can I get some help??????

Lets see how this does, start with a clean boot
If it works follow procedure to fix the problem.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Also download and use Win patrol, it makes disabling services easy and problem free.

Thank I an doing the cleanboot right now.. I want to fix this soon because I want to give my wife back her laptop...She Plays Super Poke Pets and wathches Manga ans Asian Dramas online.... She is disabled and is one of her outlets, I feel like im taking it away from her...

OK looks like the same thing is happenening....starts ok then to a bluescreen(NOT BSOD) will Stay Light blue, I think it is the default color for the desktop... With the magnifier minimized in the corner...I need the magnifier, I will switch it off when It boots up..This will take a while

K I done the clean boot twice now and the same thing is happenning...Earlier I tried a system restore twice and they failed...;I ran Defwnder and Norton wearlier and only 22 tracking cookies. low threat..

OK I booted in safe mode with networking...I got on the net and a program popped up called Vista Security 2012...IT said I had trojans etc, but I think that is a scam...

DO I create a system restore poinr in safe mode? And then do a system restore...I dont want to do a thing till you have had a chance to read this

If you are able to get on line start with a malware bytes scan. Free version is enough scroll to the bottom left.

Actually I foud I had a trojan called iow.exe, I killed it with rkill.exe

I am going to attempt to scan my computer with norton again once it loads up...still taking its time....waitin waiting..waiting

Have you done a system file check yet?

System File Check.

Go to start search and type CMD

Go to CMD.exe in search box results and right click, click run as administrator

Type sfc /scannow in the box that opens (note the space)

If errors are found reboot and run the test again up to 3 times.

I done the scan and nothing until I got Malwarebytes and ADsolutions I think it is called and found Issues...

Right now I am running ccleaner and cleared alot of stuff, right now I am wiping free space hoping that creates some space for the next defrag.. I am still getting the long wait on the desktop window before the desktop actually shows up.. Someone told me about soluto..??? Is it a good program??? Is it worth downloading??? I hope it helps.. AND FREE.. I got no money.....TILL PAYDAY...THURSDAY NIGHT lol

BTW how are you doing???? I found out I might have carpell tunnell in my left hand today
