Local only - no internet please help

When trying to connect wirelessly to the internet through my Netgear router (Comcast);

1. Password protected I can only connect Locally, not internet.
2. When it is not protected I can connect fine.
3. I can connect fine using a wire.

But I can't if it's password protected!!!

Can someone help me connect wirelessly to a protected network?

You are going to need a WEP Key to be able to connect to a Protected Network

Where do I get a WEP key?

The wep key is usually found on the side of your router, on a little sticker.

To obtain the WEP key you need to go to a web browser and enter the IP address of that router and then enter the username and password and it should say the WEP key


to find the IP,username and password you should check the case of the router.
