Live OneCare not recognized

Why does my Vista Home Premium 64 bit computer not recognize my Windows Live OneCare as my antivirus? It used to, but it doesn't now. I get tired of the same message every time I turn on my computer and I have to click it to ge it off. It always says my firewall is not monitored, also. I know my Live OneCare is working, but it is a pain to have to correct it very time.

I have unistalled and reinstalled it several times and signed in to my Windows Live ID to identify my subscription, but it still doesn't help.

Why did it used to recognize it and now it doesn't? Is there anyway to get that message to quit popping up? Even saying I will monitor it myself doesn't work.

Can anyone help me on this problem? Vista is so different and so confusing from Windows XP!

Welcome to Vista Forums zberryman, and let's hope that we can make you stay here a pleasant experience:party::party::party:!

OK. To Window Live OneCare [WLOC].

Can you expand on the popup? What colour is it? What does it say? Can you do a 'capture' of it [ Print Screen, Snip] and post it here?

Your set-up. Have you disabled Windows Defender? Did you have Windows Defender disabled when you installed WLOC? Were you off-line when you installed WLOC? Are you running any other Anti-Virus Programs? Is it a WLOC start-up issue? What WLOC trouble-shooting online sites have you visited? What is current WLOC Status...Green, Yellow or Red?

Unless you provide a few more clearer answers, it's not easy to try and determine what is causing your problem.:o

I also recommend that you go to your personal CP [click CP at the top of the page] and complete as much of 'My System Specs' as you can. Check out other details in the link at the bottom of my page.

Get back to us soon, and I hope that this helps.:D
