I just bought a new laptop HP Pavilion dv9925nr 4gb ram, athlon AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60 / 2 GHz with NVIDIA GeForce 7150M Shared video memory (UMA) 1071 MB.

My problem is that theres a little late reaction from the point that I move the pointer of the mouse to actually seeing it move.
Dont know if its the graphics or what...

Help please.

Go to Mouse settings -> Options for the pointer -> Make the precision of the pointer better (or something, my Vista version is in dutch).

What my dear friend here was trying to say was check the box for Enhance Mouse Precision as follows:

Pointer precision.PNG

To get there, it depends on your system. If you are using the Classic Control Panel then go to Control Panel --> Mouse --> Pointer Options tab and check the box.

If you are using the new Control Panel, then open Control Panel --> Hardware and Sound (you might can skip this step - 3 links under Hardware and Sound on my machine is Mouse) --> Mouse --> Pointer Options tab and check the box.

ok, that is on already.
When i start the start menu, and pass the pointer of the mouse through the icons (all programs, control panel, computer, network..) it has a late action, for example:
when the pointer of the mouse is going up, the shade of the selection of the pointer on the start menu is late, it has a little lag, it doesnt match with the pointer.
Its like if the computer is slow, but its not.....

If it is a wireless mouse try replacing the batteries....

wait, are you talking about the point stick / touchpad built into the laptop?

Wireless mice eat up batteries. Are you sure the new one's are fully charged and not old ones just laying around? Also, make sure there's a direct line of sight between the receiver and the mouse. Lastly, give that USB port a good reaming.

I know this thread is old but I really cant find a solution on my problem.

I have the exactly same problem. It is not the batteries for me atleast. Ive tried with a razer lachesis aswell, just to be sure. I run logitech MX5500 keyboard/mouse. Vista home x64.

This is really driving me crazy because my accuracy is simply none exsisting. I dont know about the one who started this thread but my keyboard is behind aswell, its easy to see when I just press one letter down and release it takes maybe 0.5-1sec before it stops.

I have updated everything that is possible to update(I run logitech software programs). I have system restored, wiped vista and reinstalled all the time with the same problem.

Well if someone has a solution for this problem I would be very happy :)
