Can you please go to this site and verify that all of the drivers are up to date?

After the site is up, go into device manager and click on network devices and read off the driver version.

Also, elaborating on the above, do that for display adapters, network adapters, sound drivers, memory card readers, keyboard, mouse, most of the major components of the machine and write them down then go to this site and see if anything needs to be updated.

P.S. - I'm assuming since this is a desktop your having a wired connection issue?

Ok so i went through the Device Manager item by item. I check them all and there all upto date with no help from me.

Any ideas.

by the way.. i was finally able to get a strong enough connection that i moved my wireless channel from "11" to "6". i dont know if that has helped at all... but i thought i would give that a try too.

Quite frank, both of those channels aren't so hot. Use 2 or 10. Please.

oK i moved to channel 2. so far (even before) i shifted channels, my speed came back and it was for no reason. i went from the speed of less then a 56K (original) modem, to my 54+ MPS. its very strange..... :sarc:

Channels can make a big difference. If the radio frequency sucks and theyre is some interference changing the channel limits interference and increases speed.
