im not that good at computers but im a fast learner.

in some games i lag like hell, but in others not that bad.
i dont know what's the cause, maybe because of the compatability of windows to the game but i asked some players if anyone is using vista, gladly yes there are many people using vista so i kinda have a doubt that there is a deeper meaning of my lag. or maybe its just my internet?

please help me?:)

ditto to the vid card question. Quite an important part of the equation.

Other things to take into account.

1. What other applications are running when you are gaming? Virus scanners are a common culprit when it comes to 'lag' if they start a scheduled scan or are background scanning files, is there a lot of HDD activity when u experience lag? (just check your hard disk activity light)

2. Do you know the physical location of the game server you are playing on (assuming u are doing internet multiplay) Depending on the game and the type of network transport it utilises this can cause issues.

Other things to check out, is it particular games that cause lag, does it happen from the time you start the game or is it something you experience intermittently?

My Computer

games having problem with:(lag)

1.rakion.softnyx.net
2.flyff(Gpotato)
3.rumble fighter(OG planet)
4.Gunz.ijji
5.and many more
(i stop playing these games)

games not having problem with(not lag)

1.cabal(OG planet)
2.trickster
3.exteel

Graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nF

i dont run any programs while im playing.
my anti virus is only scanning at noon which im not playing that time.

sorry but i dont know wat is HDD but der are 3 lights 1.power 2.hard disk 3. the one that always blink

when im playing the "3" is stable(like night lights) and sometimes even im not doing anything

i also experiencing "crash" when im playing(most of the time trickster) its hard to tell its just like a painting in ur screen that u cant identified, like rainbow, which is not responding to any keys like alt+f4, alt+tab, ctrl+alt+delete. so i need to kill the main power which is im worried about, that might destroy my whole PC.

please help me again thanks =)

Make sure you don't have programs like bittorrent running that will take up you bandwidth since you play mmo games. Check out the forums on the sites and see if anyone else is having the same problem you are. Also scan your computer for viruses and spyware.

Hello, im having some strange issue with my comp here, i have acer aspire 7730g with Vista home premium 32bit, nvidia geforce 9600m gt (512mb) 4gb ram and intel centrino 2 duo (2ghz), so when i first got the comp everything was ok, i instaled my games etc. I played WoW for about 2 weeks had fps in max 120 without Vertical sync. and with sync. 60fps, that was very good, game ran smoothly, so after the 2 weeks fps droped to 30fps, and below i tryed to mimaize my options, video setups to minimum, still dint help, i though it was a spyware or trojan, well i ran full system scan, my comp was clean after that, i still had the issue though. I was getting pretty mad, so i formated my comp, after that everything was ok again, no lag in games, nothing, everything was working smoothly, then after 1 week the lag reapaired, same thing all over again. I have now formated my comp for 6 times, and i can play after every format for about 2-6days without of lag, and that i need to format again, thats getting PRETTY annoying, anyone have any idea what this may cause?

Big Thanks!

P.S.
I also checked for scans, and I did not have any program runing that would hurt the game. Also when the lags start EVERYTHING is lagging, even my mous pointer, i have CPU at 100% nearly all the time, never gets below 70%

My Computer

I have in the past found that some side bar gadgets can interfere with some games
you could try disabling it when you play your games ie 1 game i played i noticed that i was having FPS lag every second... this turned out to be the standard vista sidebar clock gadget... now im not saying that this is the cause however a posibility!
you can also try checking for the problems by running you games in windowed mode... this can be done in most games by pressing ALT and Enter at the same time
