.jpg files won't open in PhotoImpact Pro 13

I really need help here. When I download .jpg zipped files they download fine, upzip fine. Then when I go to open them into PhotoImpact I get a message that the file can't be opened. In fact I can't open them in anything. I see them there, all the little thumbnails but they won't open into any program. I have tried making sure the file is not checked read-only. I have tried making sure the file is unblocked. Actually I have tried so many things that I am now totally confused.

I might add that this is just the downloaded .".jpg" files that I have the problem with. I can open any other .jpg that is on my pc right into PhotoImpact.

Any help or advice will be appreciated

Hello McMartin, and welcome to Vista Forums.

If PhotoImpact is listed in Default Programs, then you can set it as the default program with all of it's associations set to it.

If not, then double check in Default Programs to see if you have the .jpg file extension set with the current program to open it with as the .exe file for PhotoImpact.
