Join the ‘Clubhouse’ and have your Windows Home Server blog posts showcased

Are you using your blog to talk about Windows Home Server? Do you want to enhance your personal reputation and get your posts showcased on Microsoft websites? If so, you should join The Clubhouse. The Clubhouse is a place that brings together people using their blogs to help others understand how to use Windows Home Server.

How does The Clubhouse work?

You first need to apply to join The Clubhouse. There is a short review process in order to insure that there is a good fit for the bloggers applying and the rest of The Clubhouse.

Once you’re approved, you continue to write your fantastic Windows Home Server content on your blog and now you use Windows Home Server tags (such as Remote Access, Photo Sharing, Document Management, image based backup to name a few) to categorize your post . Your posts are brought into the Clubhouse and correctly categorized via the tags and your RSS feed (having an RSS is a requirement to take part in The Clubhouse).

In order to use the tags needed to identify your contributions for The Clubhouse, you will need to add the Clubhouse & Windows Home Server specific tags to your current blog service. (Complete directions can be found here.) Once you publish your post with the Windows Home Server tags – it appears within The Clubhouse where members of The Clubhouse rate one another’s contributions, so the top rated content can be showcased on Microsoft websites, newsletters, and even tweeted from @winhomeserver. So it’s up to your community of peers to choose which content is good enough to get showcased.

Where is your content showcased?

After you get enough good votes inside The Clubhouse – your posts will be highlighted on Microsoft's Windows Home Server product website. We’re working on our implementation so here a few examples of how the Clubhouse content is currently being displayed on some Microsoft websites.

Outside of the really cool opportunity to get your content from your blog showcased on Microsoft websites, The Clubhouse offers several other “perks”.

As you continue to write your own content – you will gain community recognition by earning Club Points and Badges. When you earn a certain amount of Club Points, you get Badges. Each Badge you earn will appear next to any of your content showcased on Microsoft websites. You also can earn special-recognition Badges as well. These Badges are a great way for people reading your content to see how much you rock.

Recap of the steps you need to take:

1.  Apply to join The Clubhouse.

2.  Tag your posts with the specific Windows Home Server Tags provided.

3.  Watch for your posts on Microsoft websites.

If you blog about using Windows Home Server – please apply for The Clubhouse! It can be a great way to gain more exposure of your content!
