I am attempting to install the latest version of iTunes 64 bit setup, and get this message:
iTunes + QuickTime in title bar
The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed.
This can occur if your are running Windows in safe mode,
or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your
support personnel for assistance.
I am the only administrator on this computer, I am NOT running in Safe mode,
and this is the only program giving me the Windows Installer error message.
All other programs install/uninstall without any issues.
I have attempted to open iTunes64Setup.exe as adminstrator, with no changes in result.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.
