Hi there, i recently downloaded got some ISO files from a friend and when i mounted them with daemon tools they contain nothing. I tried to burn it on CD but again it contains nothing (almost). Though the size is 3,5GB when i mount it on Daemon, the total files size is 124KB, (dont advice me to open hidden folders cause i tryied many things after doing this).
This also happened when my friend downloaded some warez stuff and he had the same problem. Though i tryied to stop him opening it with daemon tools due to virus risk, he did it and it had only some KB of file size.
Please help me because there are some music in this iso that took me long time to find and download them.
Any help apreciated. Thanks.

Humm, looks like it's a "false" iso file.
Just try to zip it to check if it is empty or not because with a 7*10^8*ASCII(xx) you can make a 700 MB iso file but when you zip it it looks very small indeed :)

I tried it, nothing helps. My only solution is you guys. Please guys gimme any good advice since i stored many things there that took me long time to find.
I can normally open it with Daemon Tools but when it opens it it contains only some unknown files (not viruses) and its total size is around 128KB, though the size of the ISO is 4,2GB.
Please dig up something. I really would appreciate any help.

sidney1st the file is to big, and it is not in a zip file. Its a simple iso file. And for Christ sake, its not WAREZ, it contains vital for me data.
And i think i already explained my problem.
The ISO file is 4GB-Closed
When i open it, its 128 KB-open .-Need Help.
There is no possibility of it beeing falske or broken or any thing you cant imagine because i got it within one day and it was burned successfully with Nero...
Any other Ideas? By the way, thanks for helping sidney1st.

I've read all the other replies to your problem, and it seems to me you are stuck. Daemon hasn't helped much has it?

What you can maybe use to try and view the contents of the ISO file, and even extract the data to a folder and then burn a proper DVD, is use MagicISO. Get it here - MagicISO - Convert BIN to ISO, Create, Edit, Burn, Extract ISO file, ISO/BIN converter/extractor/editor

Once you have installed the trial of MagicISO, open the iso in question, then if you can see what you need, drag and drop the files in MagicISO to a new folder. And then use Nero and burn a proper backup disk.

And for [insert deity name here] sakes, whyever are you using Daemon Tools? Alcohol 52% is so much better....

Ow please. I have tried all that not only with Daemon tools but also with Alcohol AND magicISO, nothing worked.
And to answer you your question let me answer you with a question:
would you accept to stop using windows OS and start using Apple? I guess no, once you stick with a program it makes harder for you to separate from it!

Any OTHER thoughts?
Then perhaps you should have mentioned that you also tried MagicISO and Alcohol before in your other posts?

What about PowerISO?

But generally speaking, then, if MagicISO couldn't read the file properly, then the ISO file is itself done for, and whatever data it contained along with it.

And I understand that sticking with Daemon Tools is your choice, because that is what you're used to. Just like I prefer the Alcohol 52% package because that's what I like to use.

The download is corrupt so the only way to get the ISO to burn correct is downloading it again...

Just because it says it finished downloading doesnt mean it downloaded correctly and large files like that usually do have minor corruption issues.

Ask your mate to host it again and get a better download manager.

There is nothing you can do about the ISO you have now...delete it, its useless.

You have all the information you need from everyone so Im closing the topic.
