Is this the new Windows 7 boot screen?

When Vista's boot screen was revealed in an early beta, many were confused by its simplicity. This is the best Microsoft could come up with? Microsoft's explanation was that it wanted to keep things as simple as possible in order to encourage OEMs to stop including their own logos during the boot up process. If this video isn't a fake, that approach seems to have gone to out the window (pardon the lame pun).

Hi slimey,

Click on the Blue star to open option then paste the Embed code into the Youtube tag. have to make sure the complete embed info is copied, as it's about 4 lines of code

If you wanted to know how to use youtube links then take the video URL: [noparse]http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=j7oDvY1-XeY[/noparse]

Then use the part after the = sign here, exactly as shown below

Is it just me or do these little things just get people to hyped up over nothing?

I mean it's the boot screen lol. You see it for under 30 seconds and I really don't care what it looks like... I even changed mine.

A pretty sweet boot screen if it's real. not that i see much of the current one anyway, the little cosmetic updates all help.

I'm fed up of any 'eye candy' complainers btw - Why should the boot screen stay the same as it has been?! There's nothing wrong with updating parts of the interface. After all, the UI is meant to be a fluid and integrated so keeping a boot screen akin to Win 95 just cos "why u needz to updatez it plz???" is a lame argument. Yeh it's not "crucial", but a Windows OS is a product, not half of one - and that product includes the boot screen!
