Is it me or Windows?

Hi,

I'm hoping that someone more knowlagable about this than I can help.

Earlier today while trying to fix DriverCure stumbled into Windows forum an noticed the activity centered around a topic with the same name. So I joined Windows forum a few minutes ago and in hopes of fixing that Windows sign annoying me on the startup boot.

What would be nice to know is if anyone out there knows how to fix DriverCure installation error. My scorched earth delete/unistall method doesn't seem to be working, so has anyone managed to fix this without using machine language?

Since there is a lot of comment about this has anyone heard about if Microsoft is the cause of this, this problem came up out of the blue 2 days ago without my fooling around with files and programs, and more importantly out of shame and profits will send a fix via Windows updates shortly?

My best,

turfflower

Hi,

I've been search MS website & there appears to be loads of referrences to this "Rogue" software package (Malware). It just wants you to buy it & there is no un-install. If you do track it down then it restarts! Or SO THEY SAY!

Hi there,

Good heavens, sorry about confusing some of you. Pereto Logic recognized DriverCure though.

I've only been using PC's for a couple of years and have had no formal education in them other than a college course in Basic in the early 1970's, of which most has long been forgotten. Since my time on this mortal coil is growing less it's doubtful whether any more formal learning for this medium will be pursued, but sometimes I have to wonder if some operating systems could be organized a bit better, as they seem needlessly confusing in some areas.

To note; last night in the Window Update box in the program list there was an update for DriverCure/Paretologic. I installed it and well whatdayaknow, no sign telling me about DriverCure not being proper popped up. Now all those Microsoft engineers can quit working on my problem and go home.

Thank one and all for the interest, my machine seems to be running properly now or at least until the next problem crops up.

Yeah, sorry about the confusion; deleting is something that I use to 'fix' a lot of software stuff and is a major tool for a tyro like me. In this case the word delete and usage in my plea for help shouldn't have been brought up at all. In any case the fix was taken care of by Paretologic, Windows, or magic, so as long as it works and all that.
