IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL BSOD After Recovering From Sleep Mode

My Windows Vista displays a blue screen with the message "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" when I attempt to recover from sleep mode. I am unsure what the problem is and I am in need of help. I have not changed anything vital on my system including the current locale and this problem is very recent.

OS: Windows Vista Home Premium (Pre-Installed)
Age of System: About 5 years in age.
Age of OS Installation: About 5 years in age. (Never re-installed)

Does this problem occur if you do a normal boot from shutdown?

If not, if you go to Device Manager, are there any problems indicated?

Try installing service pack 2.
