iPod Issues

I know. Discussing Apple product support on a Microsoft product forum lol.

But I am now experiencing this odd problem. So my iPod Touch is dead battery. When I plug it in via USB, it begins to charge up (The Apple Logo screen shows up) but then the it just shuts off on me.

I did disable a few more services last night but I did not charge up my iPod then. ANyone know what is up?

Cant be my connector. I am sure of it. Tried all USB ports and my sister's better condition cable.

EDIT:Added System Restore to the list. No Luck either >.< Damn
EDIT2:Tried charging on sister's computer. No luck either. Must be on the hardware side rather than my system.

Hello!

It does look to be something wrong with the actual device, but that does not necessarily mean hardware. I have run into very similar issues before. Several times in fact, on iPod Touch (many many sorts of issues when jailbreaks went wrong! lol.) but also on iPod Classics.

Try a reset. Fixed similar charging issues on an iPod Classic:

To reset, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Hopefully it will work miracles. It almost always does.

Hi chaos, you might want to look for a USB wall charger, mine works a treat for iPad and iPhone, you can get one off eBay for quite cheap at the moment.

Hope this helps

I would get that for charging but I also obviously need something for adding on more music.

Does this only happen when the Battery is Flat?

Or does it happen whatever the Battery Charge is?

Cookies for you mate. Tons of them. Saved me a trip to the Apple store and possible a couple of bucks.
