Intstall or not to install DX

I use Vista Ultimate Sp1.
So...When i install a pc game the most of the time at the end of the installation the game ask:You will like to install DirectX?
Thats the question,to install or not to install?As everybody knows Vista=DirectX 10.
The Dx on the game is newer than Vista DirectX 10?Or is better to keep my exist DX?

I always install cause you never know if you have any DX files missing until you start the game.

I'd figure the games are newer than Vista so, at the very least, I will be getting a fresh DX install.
