Internet problems after Vista install

I just did a clean install of vista and am having issue staying connected to the internet

keeps on cutting out every few minuets

I checked my router settings and it is all ok from there

Check the drivers, cable connection, make sure there isn't something by the router like a speaker or anything.

It just disconnects from the internet every few minuets for a few seconds to a min then reconnects..
no error messages or anything.

Driver issue. Has to be, especially if its a wired router, not many settings can be changed lol.

I would erase your mac address from your post btw. Looks like your using DSL. What router are you using and has it worked before?

Ok I seem to have fixed it, when I installed my ASUS P5E drives it downloaded a program called Marvell Ethernet...after I uninstalled that everything now seems to be fine.

Perfect. Knew it had something to do with drivers

Yea, I started thinking back on what could be the problem and the asus drives was the only thing that came to mind, I usually just install the sound drivers but this time I clicked the big button that downloaded everything on the CD so just played around with that seeing what the hell it downloaded this time :P
