internet not working!!! plz help

Ok so i have vista x64 home premium and a couple of days ago i noticed my internet said limited or no connectivity. So i reset the net adapter and did everything i could to repair it but still no luck. I unplugged the modem and hooked it directly up to my xbox and was able to play xbox live with full connectivity. also i can use it on my other computer with no problems. Does anyone know of a virus or problem that would be affecting my vista? any hlep would be nice.:D

Open a command prompt as admin and type Ipconfig /renew

i did that and it still does the same thing

Then do ipconfig/registerdns

You need a space between the command and the arguement and I dont think that will work anyway...but he can always try

I dont need a space in mine and it works. Do it a lot. And I ran into the same problem and it works.

ok so i typed in both of those and it still says the same thing. it wont even recognize the name anymore it just says unknown network or identifying network
