I have had my laptop running on Vista and it always had great internet connection. Then one day it stopped working. I have a yellow triangle with and exclamation point between the computer and the network and a red x between the network and the internet. I have another laptop that works fine on the wireless network. The laptop that is not working will not even connect with the ethernet cable plugged in. I have tired to get a new IP address several times and still not success. Aslo tried to reset the network adapter, system restore, and everything I could think of. When I do an IP config it shows an IP address and still not connection. Please someone help me!!!
I have a couple vista business systems doing this. go back to the last restore point and look around here for more help. If you can get Safari it might work as a browser where firefox and IE won't.
I have tried a system restore 2 times and it worked once then not again. I have firefox and safari and still nothing. I am getting the red X and yellow triangle with an exclamation point. Someone please help me with this
It's possible the adaptor could be bad. Don't know if it will work but have you tried to un-install the adaptor then reinstall and see if Windows can find it and put it back working.
