Me too -- although sometimes I get a message box with the option to either 1. repair the problem and close IE, or 2. close IE without repairing the problem. Funny thing though -- if I have other IE tabs open, it doesn't actually shut IE down after either option is chosen.

Just got the download for IE8 today thur windows update. It has allready stoped working four times while I was trying to read my online newspaper. Each time I would get the same message as Dullyjock. It them started working ok so I will wait and see what happens. If it messes up again I will do a system restore and go back to IE7. I really like the IE 7 better so can someone tell me the advanage of IE8 over IE7?

Is there a way to go back to IE7. I'd be happy to do that. I really don't like IE8. If anyone knows where I can get a IE7 download please let me know.

Dullujock, here is the information I printed off. I don't know if others had this problem but when I tried to open attachments in window mail IE 8 could not. After I reinstalled IE 7 they open just fine. Hope this helps.

Note If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click Continue.
[*]Follow the instructions to uninstall Internet Explorer 8.
