Internet crashes while playing mmo's

Hello all,
This is my first post so seeing if you guys might be able to help. I just got a new PC the other day and i am a big mmo fan. Every time i try to play my internet crashes and i have to wait about 30 seconds for it to connect again. My laptop does just fine with no issues. Wondering what might cause this issue. Any help you can provide will be put to good use!
