I have an Intel Core 2 Duo E6750. I'm seeing an "Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver" update and it shows a list of chipsets, but mine is nothing like the ones listed.

  • Intel® G41 Express Chipset
  • Intel® G43 Express Chipset
  • Intel® G45 Express Chipset
  • Intel® G31 Express Chipset
  • Intel® G33 Express Chipset
  • Intel® G35 Express Chipset
  • Intel® Q33 Express Chipset
  • Intel® Q35 Express Chipset
  • Intel® Q43 Express Chipset
  • Intel® Q45 Express Chipset
  • Intel® 82G965 Graphics and Memory Controller Hub
  • Intel® 82Q965 Graphics and Memory Controller Hub
  • Intel® 82Q963 Graphics and Memory Controller Hub
  • Intel® 82946GZ Graphics Controller
  • Intel® 82945G Express Chipset
Are any of these it? I'm unable to find what it would be called. Even doing a google search did nothing.

You identify your chipset by your motherboard model. The chipset, is a chip on the motherboard , not on your CPU. Intel Core2Duo is your CPU model. You have to find what is your motherboard model so you know which chipset it wears.

There is a handy application that can help you idendify your chipset if you don't know which one it is. It's called CPU-Z. You can download it here: http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpuz_149.zip

Open the application, it gives you a list of your hardware. Go to Motherboard tab and look for chipset

Hi Kavoc,

The driver you mention would be for the graphics system built into your motherboard - this information can normally be found in the user manual or other documentation that came with your system.

Hope this helps

Update

Have just re-checked the system specifications in your control panel, you state there that you are using an nVidia graphics card, if this is the case than it is unlikely you will require to install the driver for the on-board graphics as this would normally be disabled when you install the separate graphics card

You can find your driver at:
Support for Intel® Graphics
and click "Do I have the latest driver"
Then there is a utility will find the correct driver for you and you can install it by right clicking and run as administrator.

Thanks for all the help! I was wondering if I needed to update the driver since I update everything through my EVGA drivers. But with an updater I was using to check some things it popped up and never has before. Thanks again for the help.
