Ok i have a BT homehub router coupled to my pc wirelesly via Railink Wireless card using WPA2 security (if this info is needed)
ever since i got Vista ive had an issue with online games lagging out every 60 seconds , i know whats causing the problem , its Vista searching for new networks. This is not an issue during normal internet use.
I know the service thats causing the problem its WLAN Autoconfig , in XP the same service is called wireless autoconfig (i think its been a while since i used XP) and solving the issue was as simple as disabling the service.
However disabling WLAN Autoconfig in Vista takes my network down too :P
I have downloaded a wee app called Vista anti lag which solves my problems and works fine , and ever since getting it ive just assumed that was my only option.
However after talking to others they seem to have no problem with this issue and play wirelessly under vista fine
so is the issue with my railink card? (i have the latest drivers etc for it i downloaded them so i could use WPA2) or is there something im missing?
I normally solve these issues myself after a quick google session or a visit here , but this has had me stumped since i got Vista.
Can antone help?
Cheers :D
