I have exported bookmarks from IE8 on a Windows XP machine to a memory stick as "bookmark.htm". This htm file can be viewed in IE8 and all the links are there.
I take the stick to a laptop running IE7 on Vista Home Premium and use the Import/Export wizard. This fails to complete the process with an error message, "Not a valid bookmark file".
I can open the htm file in the laptop's IE7 and see all the links are present. I have read the tutorial on your site about importing favourites and think I am doing everything correctly.
Does anyone have any suggestions, please?
