can anyone please tell me how to shut off write protection on a external hard drive
its a wester digital 320 gig ext
on a amd dual core 6000 running vista ultimate 64 bit
ive searched but i cant find a way to shut it off and i cant save anything to the external
this issue just started recently and im not sure why i have plenty of room left on the drive but when i try to save something to it i get the write protection error
i also can't erase anything from the drive
its got me locked out of any kind of editing of the drive
any help would be appreciated
ive also tried going threw my admin account but no success there
