Since a couples of week a go my IE is not working, but there is no problems with the internet connection, and when I tried the FTP and Grabit, they're both seems to work correctly, I have no problems with upload or download the file, however there are no problems with offline html browse, Anyway I can say, that there are no problems with my router and network card.
So maybe you guys! up there can help me to solve this problem.

Kind regard...

Ok,
So to clarify, your fully connect to the internet. Check and make sure you see the globe next to your connection icon in your taskbar. Also, what version of IE are you using? If you go to help and about it will tell you there. Another thing, try downloading Firefox and install that. It is a nice browser then IE i think. The reason for this is to see if it is JUST IE or all browsers.

Let us know for further help,
Ben

There are no restore point more than 3 weeks, and I already did it, and apparently it's been not working more than 3 weeks, I thought that 3 weeks a go, but its older than 3 weeks, so I can't exactly remember how long a go.
Anyway I ve already tried, only I haven't format the PC, but I dont intend to do that, and I know if I do that everything is good again, but that one is the last change I will do, if everything dosn't works, because there for I have to backup 800 Gb.....

I have already did it, I know that, but there are no older restore point older than 3 weeks or 4 weeks, and apparently the problem is older than 3 or 4 weeks, I just say it's 3 weeks a go, but the problems is actualy older than 3 or 4 weeks old

Ok bobroha,
Before we get into the settings of Norton and Windows Firewall, lets check out IE's settings first. Go to internet options under the tools menu in IE. Go to the connections tab and click on LAN settings. Make sure that the optition to connect using a proxy is unchecked and automatically detect settings is checked.

Let me know if this helps at all.

Sorry for the late reply, cos I took a long weekend, last week, but as far as I know I 've also tried LAN setting with auto connect checked and unchecked, but I think more in regedit, cos I don't know much about regedit

My Computer

Ok bobroha,
Lets try and do a bit of security checking.
Run a AV scan, AS, and AM scan....
Let me know what programs you are using....
I would suggest Comodo Internet security (great firewall + AV), superantispyware, and also malwarebytes
Thats what i use at home and to fix everyones computers i work on.

So let me know so i can further assist you,
Ben

Having a similar problem, only on our desktop (Vista Home premium 32bit). It also started about 3 weeks ago. That's about the time there were some updates we downloaded (Adobe and some others). The desktop works fine on e-mail, and the same DSL runs two laptop wireless connections with no problems (one XP, one Vista). It seems to be just on the desktop. We've run several spyware/malware checks with no problems discovered. Haven't tried to download Firefox because the connection is so bad--and it seems to be getting worse the longer it takes to find a solution. At first it was just slow. After 3 weeks it almost doesn't work at all.

My Computer

Can you do any restores Wolf? Or are those gone too???

I cant find anything on your two situations.:cry::cry:I would wonder if doing a system wipe and reinstalling would do the trick. I know it sucks, and its a lot of work, but sometimes it must be done. Also, this will help your internet speed...

Let me know,
Ben

Yes, I think the only one way is to reinstall the IE, but do u know how to reinstall IE from Recovery partition, new PC they have the recovery partition, you can easily format all incl the Window Vista, but I don't want to format all, I want only reinstall the IE, only the IE, and I can't get into installation IE folder, becaise he is in the Recovery partition, and you can only reach via format all shift F11, but I don't want do this because you have to reinstall all the software in your PC
