Ok, i have a Presario F504ea Laptop, on Vista home premium. It works fine for me, that is until i installed IE8 from microsoft.com. There wasn't a problem at all with it before, however now, i cant use tabs [ or the right click menu ] and my msn doesn't work, and now, my network seems to be slower.
I am not blaming it all on IE8, afterall, i did download a few updates [not sp1... yet] but surely, IE8 has made something go wrong on my laptop, and i cant uninstall it, and if i wanted to download IE7 for vista, i cant as it says that it is supplies with it!

Any suggestions of how i could correct this problem would be appreciated, and if the thread is iin the wrong subject, apologies for that aswell.

Tatz93,

Sorry to hear about your experience with IE8. A friend of mine had almost exactly the same problem when IE7 was in beta. Installed it and then had serious system trouble. We couldn't uninstall IE7, and couldn't roll back to IE6. The fix at that time was to reinstall the operating system (at that time, I believe it was XP). I'll look to see if there is something that can extract IE8 out. If I find something I'll post the link for it here.

Found something for you. Here's a link to a site that has instructions on getting IE8 out of your system: How to Uninstall Windows Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) in Vista » My Digital Life

Thanks for the quick reply .Joe. I uninstalled an update entitled IE8, which automatically replaced it with IE7. Thanks for your time and the link
