IE Test Center updates

It's great to see that the web community and browser vendors are getting value out of the test cases on the IE Testing Center. People are discussing these in blog posts, email, and the W3C mailing lists, which is excellent. We want to make sure these tests are valuable and conform to the various specifications they test.

We received some great feedback over the last few weeks on a number of the test cases we posted on May 5th. I want to thank everyone who provided actionable feedback on the particular test cases. As a result, we updated 15 test cases on the IE Testing Center, submitted those updates to the W3C, and updated the results tables for the same set of browsers we listed in May. Here is the breakdown of the changes:

Thanks to everyone who provided feedback on the test cases in the W3C mailing lists. If you have additional feedback on the test cases, please post it on the appropriate mailing list.

Thanks!
Jason Upton – Test Manager, Internet Explorer

why can't or won't you fix the existing IE8.
Since 2/18/2010 I have 147 instances of either "Webpage display problem or stopped working"; also have 25 instances of network diagnostics framework, "unable to diagnose/repair network problems"; 20 host process for windows services, "windows update installation problems" w/ 1 "stopped working".

Reports have been sent but to no avail.

Once again looking at this forum I am not the only one expeirencing these continual problems; We never had the extent of problems with XP that is continually badgering us with vista. But then again MS would resolve the problems with XP instead of ignoring them, in an attempt, I'm guessing to try to force us to buy Win 7. Not going to happen!!!

After getting the network connections back to where it should be, Well the latest update for windows defender once again caused the connection problems as before; once again had to do a system restore back to prior the update. Did find out that once install you are unable to uninstall it. Way to go MS.
