IE 8 Not Responding

Hi I downloaded IE 8 after IE7 kept freezing up. It worked great for about 2 weeks, and now it's freezing again. I tried running with no add-ons, disabling other add-ons, deleting browser history, and running my antivirus on both IE 7 and then IE 8. I have searched everywhere for a solution and no one seems to have one. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit, with IE 8 on an HP laptop. I would really like to figure out what is wrong before just switching to firefox. Thanks

Is it just on certain sites that the freeze occurs, don't forget that IE8 is still a beta program so of course there will be bugs. Have you tried a repair ?

It's very random web-sites, IMDB, facebook, aol, etc. There doesn't seem to be a pattern. I had actually uninstalled IE8 right after I downloaded it because I found out it was the 1st edition, but the freezing in IE 7 was so bad, I redownloaded IE8.
