ICO Image?

Hi,

I have several applications in vista start menu/all programs
There are a few apps like apple quicktime, adobe acrobat distiller, etc
that have the Adsee 10 ICO on them instead of the original icon
that they are suppose to have?

How do I get them back to default icon?
I do not know why it happened?
It just did?
Strange

All my other apps are ok.
Can someone help me with this?
And explain to me why, and how to fix it

Thanks
Riptorn:confused:

G'day mate, what I think you need is to right click on each file individually and either change the file attributes, or change the icon. Alternatively try to uninstall the program and reinstall, but in between those times see if your files go back to the default "look".

It looks like the file you installed decided to install itself or a data file in each folder saying that its scanned something or done something to the folder, but instead that has replaced the icons in the file directories.

So go into each file directory and see if you can delete the "little picture" and your icons may be restored. But it looks like a virus that is associating alot of your files with it, so even if you close the virus process you will reopen it when you click on another file with the icon (the icon shows which files has been infected perhaps)...

Well, I scanned everything, uninstalled the apps.\Re-installed them
But still the same?
I cannot change the icon, in the properties
As it is greyed out
So I am still at square 1??
Hmmm......

Launch CMD window as Administrator
Shutdown Explorer Process from the Task Manager
In the CMD window go to C:\Users\<ProfileName>\AppData\Local
Do the following command: attrib -H IconCache.db
Do the following command: del IconCache.db
Do the following command: start explorer

This should rebuild the Icon Cache...
