I want to delete my xp in my HDD

Hi Guys,
Today I reinstall my vista coz i upgrade my pc. I Upgade my Mobo, Cpu, Ram
But bcoz my vista ultimate is VISTA ULTIMATE UPGRADE I need to also install Operating System before I upgrade to ultimate.
I use my old Hdd w/ two partition. ONLY files and programs and saved games (no OS).
After the first OS I install (XP pro sp1) then I upgrade it to Vista ultimate Upgrade.
Now, I have Dual boot problem.
I need to delete the xp coz I dont really it. Can you tell what to do.

Backup x2. You would need to remove both OS. Reinstall only Vista as your only OS.

Actually you didn't need XP installed first,

As for removing XP you need to remove the boot menu, number 7 here,

If that doesn't do it you can use EasyBDC or VistaBootPro,

Download EasyBCD 1.7.2 - NeoSmart Technologies

VistaBootPRO - Windows Vista Boot Manager - Dual Boot XP - BCD Edit

to remove XP from the boot menu. Once that is done then you can format the XP drive.

XP is your boot partition, you can't delete the boot.ini, ntldr and other files in the XP partition. If you do, your computer will not restart. Backup first before making changes.
