basically i was working on my sisters computer and removed the norton and other virus protection for microsoft security essentials. somewhere during that process something went haywire in the firewall and it has blocked the interent. i can still run updates and i can send pings along the internet. the computer knows the internet is there it connect to my network fine but i cannot surf on it. i would just do a format and reinstall the os or just attempt repairing it, but my little sister being the model citizen of responsibility has lost her copy of the os disk. i have her product key but no os. if you have any ideas or suggestion i welcome anything! thanks again!!!
