I went into the KB of Microsoft and there's an option to request for Hotfixes by email. This web page can identify my OS, it did it, however as Vista x86 while I have Vista x64.

Is there another web page or a tool that can identify my OS correctly?

Maybe this is the reason why I fail to install KB950582

Did you install the correct DVD with Vista x64 on it? Did you install the 64-bit version? Does your hardware support Vista x64?

I did that and it's written X64 Based PC.

However even when I go to Nvidia web site to download a new driver, it automatically recognizes me as Vista X86.

I didn't know putting words in bold was considered shouting!!! I myself was trying to point out key areas to look at. Maybe I should have underlined them... then you could have accused me of speaking too softly.

I'll thank me for attempting to help you!

Later.

If you are still having the problem...

What browser are you using?

What add-ons are you using in your browser?

Have you modified your browser in any way (ie in firefox about:config allows you to modify pretty well anything about it)?
