I have Ad-ware please help me remove!

Hi.

So the story is, I have loads of ad-ware and viruses and its starting to p*** me off. I have been using SpyBot Search& Destroy, but now for some reason it won't open anymore, neither will Norton AntiVirus.

I have tried the Kaspersky online scanner but that didn't seem to work either.

Can somebody recommend me a program to use that will work?

Try SAS ( SUPERAntiSpyware.com | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware! ). It is usually very thorough.

Bust out the Malwarebytes!

I suggest that you run the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool. Perform a Full scan. Reboot at end. Refer both links.

Certainly use SuperAntiSpyware. If you can't get it the way whs recommended use this link - SUPERAntiSpyware.com - Online Scanner Reboot at end.

Use Malwarebytes as well. [link as per post above]

Sounds like you have a nasty trojan my coworker got. It would shut down everything before it could finish a scan. Then the trojan would change it's name. It lives in you registry. He called Eset since we are a paying business. It took about 2 hours to work around it and find a program that the trojan could not shut down. At that point it was quarantined and finally removed by Malwarbytes. Good luck.

Just a passing note. the only way to be absolutely sure is to do a clean install, and then run a system wide (including data disks) scan with a current anti virus.

its a pita but I have helped more ppl than i can count hwo re-installed the same software that had given them the trojan in the first place.

I agree with this comment. In the final analysis it would save time & limit one's frustation.
