I can't Update any of my Software! internet problems?

OK so i was trying to update my Windows update i got an error saying i couldnt connect which was odd since the day before it worked. Then i try updating my anti virus program and it says it couldnt connect to the server to update the program. Same thing happened when i try updating another of my programs. It seems i cant connec tot the servers or update anytyhing when my internet works perfectly and i can download programs fine. It just wont let me connect to update anything. Anyone know how to fix this??

Sounds like one or two things here:

1. Malware-not detected by current Antivirus and/or has corrupted Antivirus program rendering it ineffective (scan/clean with one of these- they are the best on the market. I recommend Eset's NOD32. 2. Windows Corruption (due to registry cleaners/User error):
If you determine It is not malware then you have corrupted Windows somehow. You can either attempt to use System restore and restore your system to a point before you corrupted your vista Installation (If a restore point that will fix the problem still exists), or re-install/repair Windows.
