I have recently installed Vista Ultimate x64 OS on a AMD based machine. I had a lot of frustration in configuring IM to recognise the C media chipset on a Sabrent board. Finally, I went out and bought a Creative SB0570 sound card for Vista and solved that problem.
Now I find that I can't have Windows Media Player load my HTTP radio.
1) Have I unintentionally had Creative Media source override Windows Media Player settings?
2) Is my Norton Internet 2008 firewall preventing me from accessing that URL? ( I can't remember if NIS 2008 was on when the radio did work and the IM was'nt)
3) Vista's message is: cannot provide a solution; check your administrator or ISP. I have had someone confirm that the station was on line when I was getting this error. I have Comcast service. Any issues here?
PS: Creative did reply with 2 fairly useful links, but I had already figured it out. Wish that tech support was quicker. Would have saved a lot of cussing....
Thanks and Regards, KP
