Solved HP Registration reminder won't stop!

Hi,I have a HP Pavilion DV6330 Laptop which I have recently performed a system recovery due to an unrelated problem.The system works fine now but I keep getting a message from HP to register on my screen,I've register three times and when I select the option of 'do not remind me any more'-the message keeps appearing,its so annoying does anyone have a solution please.Thanks

What do you mean by 'register your screen'?

hi,I mean the message to register my HP product keeps appearing on my screen-even though I have registered or choose the options of 'remind me later' or 'do not remind me any more'-seriously its driving me nuts

There's a couple places it could be set to run the reminder, first have a look Option One in the tutorial at the link below to see if you find anything that could be it; if it's not there it may be in the "Task Scheduler" we'll look there next.

I tried option 1,there seemed only one obvious program to stop from the start up menu and after restarting the problem still persists

I have found the problem in the task scheduler-how do I stop a task from running?

Did you delete it from task scheduler? that was what I was going to suggest; good for you mate; thanks for the update.

Remember, if you take your time and use the msconfig tutorial to trim the things that start when the PC is started up it may start up faster and have less issues; just do one item at a time with re-starts in-between.
