Hi,

I am getting error 1002 while installing Vista from USB Pen drive.

I have HP Pavilliont OEM Recovery DVDs (which i created from recovery partitino/d: only)
I created a bootable pen drive and copied all data of recovery DVDs to pen drive

PS:
1) MY CD/DVD drive is broke/Not working
2) My hard disk is formatted and clean (there is no previous window installation) and has only 1 partition

I restart my laptop and it boots from the USB pendrive.
I proceed with recovery
Formatting starts and after sometime error message appears "Erro 1002... contact hp support"

When laptop restarts C: drive has no bootmgr

I reboot laptop from USB pendrive and choose advace options >> checkup computer >> command prompt
i am on "x:\windows\system32"
my c:\ drive has window folder but not windos installation.

Is there a way to copy installation files (windows files) to c: from recovery command prompt?
Can I extract/install windows manually from the Vista installation USP Pendrive.

Thanks!
