How To Remove/Delete Contacts Folder

Hi all,

I would just like to know whether or not there is a way to delete the "Contacts" folder under the directory C:\Users\Administrator (I'm already logged on as the "super" administrator)? It's not a big deal, but I just don't like to see such a useless folder there since I use Thunderbird as my email client.

Hello Chris, and welcome to Vista Forums.

I would not recommend deleting the Contacts folder to prevent possible problems with some programs. However, you can hide the folder instead so it will not be displayed.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have already tried to hide the folder, but it just won't hide for me. I'm not sure what the problem is. Do you have any idea?

Sorry Chris,

You will need to do it from the C:\Users\(user name)\Contacts folder location and not from the Start Menu in order for it to work.

If you follow through and 'try' to hide your folder as previously discussed
(RClick > Properties > Hide Folder), which, we know doesn't work but simply Right Click again and select 'Delete'
Bingo - it's gone.
