Solved How to quickly find un-indexed files?

Hey everybody,

Thanks for all your help. I figured out why some of my files weren't turning up in search, it was because they weren't indexed. These were mostly some of my .mp3s I've downloaded from the internet or ripped from a CD. So I'm wondering, why are some of my .mp3s automatically indexed the way they're suppose to be and some aren't? Also, is there an easier way to find out which files aren't indexed rather than having to check it in properties for each file? That takes a long time...

Thank you!!

When ripping into mp3 form the player WMP or other is indexing as well as downloading additional media information seeing the tracks labeled accordingly. When downloading tracks separately the player used is not familiar with the then first run tracks and needs to remember each one once played.

One method for handling the mix would be ripping the cds to a main folder and adding sub folders for each artist or catagory of music for separation followed by creating customized playlists by first browsing to the individual sub folders.

Once a cd is ripped you simply move the tracks into the sub folder ahead of seeing a new playlist created. That also allows you the chance to rename Track #01 to the actual title before the lists are made.
