Ok hi,

Sorry if this question is a bit dumb but...

Is there any other way to lock vista without going into start menu and clicking on lock this computer, as i want to have it assigned to a multimedia key on my keyboard.

Like theres a sleep button on my keyboard, but when i use it, it sleeps, dissconecting me from the net and etc so my downloads will stop.

Just want to be able to have a key that when i press it will just lock the screen of my pc and thats all.

If anyone knows how to do this that would be great!

thanks

Hello Fields,

You can create a Lock shortcut to use. You can then place it in Quick Launch, or where you like, for easy use of it.

If you place it in Quick Launch as one of the 1st 10 icons, you can use the Windows Key + (1 to 0) to open it.

You can also add a keyboard shortcut of your own to the Lock shortcut using step 4 and on from this tutorial.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
